this is supposed to be one of the classiest bars in the whole city, and definitely a great place to take someone if you want to impress them. however, i can't recommend it after the first time as the drinks are tremendously overpriced and the food is even more so. and the cocktails aren't even that great. but the view is spectacular from the balcony.
while the bars across the street turn over like a pillow, solas has been a staple of the wyndham street scene for as long as i can remember. located directly under dragon-i and next door to prive, its location is ideally suited for either pre clubbing or post work or both drinks. nothing really to be seen inside, i prefer to stand outside and enjoy.
This place has some amazing Middle Eastern food and a very classy interior. I love Middle Eastern food -- both healthy and delicious -- and this does the cuisine no disservice. The lunch special is great here too .. much better value on the lunch than Beirut in LKF.okwww
GREAT for lunch, but tell them to go easy on the cheese or they very well may overdo it. And you MUST get the fries. Best fries I've had in Hong Kong thus far hands down!
The juiciest steaks in town! This place almost makes me feel like I'm back in New York going out to one of those old fashioned steakhouses. I usually get the fillet, but end up with a bit left over every time. The highlight just may be the super soft, super hot bread that kicks things off. Friendly waitstaff and great for the 2 for 1 Monday special.
This place may appeal to some people, but it is really awkward to me. It looks like someone's living room open to the public .. complete with a bookshelf, paintings, etc. I think this is what they were going for, but why would anyone want to pay to sit in a public living room?
